Committee Involvement 12:38 Gina strongly encourages members to be involved in committees. It is a good experience and also allows access to more funds for your club/organization. Please review the list of committees on the back of the agenda and bring them back to your clubs to review. It really does effect funding. |

Quick discussion of the Changes to Constitution and Bylaws (Don Gaunky)Vote on Changes 12:41 Don asked if everyone remembered the discussion of changes. Gina and Sandy handed out card to all the members. Don briefly reviewed the changes on the overhead that had already previously been discussed with the General Assembly. He spent a few minutes discussing in detail the later Sections specifically affecting clubs; funding requests, posting of minutes , holding conflict of interest positions, etc. A student asked about “extreme extenuating” circumstances. Don explained that it is phrased that way so there is the understanding that is must be in extreme, last minute circumstances. He asked for any other questions; silence. He then told the assembly that the note cards passed around to them are for voting purposes; will need to entertain a motion first
Sarah Seiverson from Radiography motioned to approve the changes as written to the Bylaws. Tim from electronics seconded Don said to please write I, Nay or Abstenstion on the note cards. The notecards are provided so that there is no pressure from anyone to vote one way or the other in regards to the changes. 39-1-3 Vote in favor of the motion |
