Reports a. Committee 1. AODA (Sandy Schulz) Thank you to all who participated in Operation River Watch. Western had 108 students participate in the event throughout the month of April. Western had more students than UW-L and Viterbo combined. 2. Appropriations (John Paul Petersen) Nothing to report!
3. Academic Affairs (Megan Reynolds) Ac Affairs does not have much to report:
4. Campus Events (Barbara/Ana) Spring Fling and the Leadership Banquet 2012 went great. We had a good turnout! We also had a presentation on suicide prevention which was a nice way to introduce this topic to our student body. 5. Diversity Advisory Team (Open Seat) 6. Legislation and Bylaws (Don Gaunky ) Finished up all changes to the constitution and will vote today on these changes Motion #1 To approve the changes to the constitution as written. Yea-34; Nay-1; Abstension-2 Will-Electronics motioned; Heather-Foods Seconded; No discussion; Passed! Motion #2 To approve the changes to the bylaws as written. Yea-35; Nay-0; Abstension-3 Kelsey-Horticulture motioned; Tanya-DSS Seconded; No discussion; Passed!
7. MTU Rep (Barbara Oehninger) Nothing to report 8. Tobacco-Free Work Group (Ge Vang) Waiting on results of how many butts were picked up at the Butt Cleanup event 9. Student Live well Committee (Open Seat) Summer gym memberships start next week. Students-$18; Non-Students/Alumni-$60 October 22, 2012 is the wellness Fair in the Lunda Center. Entertainment provided by Campus Events Committee. b. President’s Report (Gina Davis) Wanted to thank all of the students who participate in the clubs/organizations here at Western.
